VS Fashion Show 2010 Make-Up, pt. 2!

Hellooo!!

....The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show re-aired on The CW last night, so I wanted to do another post for them. =D

So now we have a part 2 to this one~ A few days ago on Facebook my VS Fanpage had a video of THEIR how-to for the make-up of the Fashion Show. Here's what they have to say, with pics of the products~

Pro Airbrush FX Face Primer SPF 20 -- $14

Directions for the VS Fashion Show 2010 Make-Up:
~Create the "Basic Face" aka become flawless with primer, foundation, and concealer.
- Using the Bronzer/Highlighter trio, apply bronzer under the eye, not in the contour of the cheek.
- Using the eyeshadow quad in Eye Contact, apply the 2 darkest colors in the crease.
- Using the eyeshadow quad in Sultry, apply the second to darkest shade on the lower lashline, smudged with loose powder in Gold Dust
- Apply Mascara
- Using lipgloss in Glow, apply to brow and browbone, and also as a highlight on the upper cheekbone to really "glow."
- Take lipliner in Foxy Brown and apply to the center of the lips-- yes, center-- to really give a pouty look.
- Use lipstick in Icon, lightly apply to rest of lip.
- Finish with lip gloss in Naughty


I was dumbfounded while watching this video. Gloss on your face?? Brown lipliner in the middle of your lips?! C'mon... really??
















But when re-watching the show, at the beginning there's a close-up of a model blowing a kiss and you can see that lips trick. So odd! And weird to me to see the angels with color on their lips-- it's normally very neutral. I can't wait to try this~
Another thing I found odd.. no eyeliner?! I know the models wore fake lashes, which you really don't need liner with, but for this look? A nice bronze would be good.

(Also on the show.. a blip of backstage where they're NOT using the VS make-up... oooo!)

VS Fashion Show 2010 Make-up

Hello!!

So I linked you to MakeUpGeek's tutorial, but here it is again for you. =)

Here is a basic list of her instructions:

1. Smudge a dark brown creamy liner on upper and lower lashline~ you'll go over this later, so it doesn't need to be perfect.
2. Blend a medium brown (I used Urban Decay's "Smog") into the lashline and outer corner to crease, the "outer-V."
3. Blend a champagne color (I used Stila's "Kitten") on the lid, inner corner, and brownbone, overlapping a little bit of the brown.
4. Take a matte medium brown and smudge over the liner on the bottom lashes (I used a matte bronzer haha!).
5. Use a warmer/darker brown on the upper lash, and wing it out a bit (I just used Smog again since the other was blended so much).
6. Mascara~ fake lashes, if you so choose!
7. Foundation and concealer to perfect skin.
8. Use bronzer to contour under cheekbones and use a peachy shimmery blush on the apples of the cheeks (I used my MAC To the Beach! blush).
9. Apply a peachy nude lip (I used a discontinued VS lipgloss).

Heidi Klum's Exotic Jewels for Victoria's Secret

Hello there!

Well I finally found a place to get some internet, and I just couldn't keep myself from making a new post. =)

A few days ago I finally tried out my Heidi Klum for VS eyeshadow and glitter eyeliner, and I wanted to share a few things with you~

Quite lovely!!

I am a HUGE Heidi Klum fan, so when I saw that she had come out with another color palette for the Holidays I couldn't help myself but pick up this eyeshadow!! Once I got home and started to play with it, however, I was a little bit turned off by the bright colors. I tried it once for a night out but honestly haven't touched it much since. The other day when I was "editing" my caboodle, I came across this and decided to give it another chance. Here's what came of that:





















See how my green stands out more? Yay! But I was surprisingly subconcious about wearing such a bold color on my eyes! I wore it the rest of the day, but I mostly just went shopping, and no one made a comment about it (which is good?) haha. I'll be excited to try this when I see people I know to see what they think!

Review: Victoria's Secret Super Palette

Happy Friday!!

So I left the best for last in this review week: Victoria's Secret Ultimate Makeup Palette. $25
(Actually, to be honest, I'm not sure of the official name because it's not on the website anymore!)

Let me tell you.. I originally bought this palette because 1. I have a weakness for palettes and 2. All of the colors looked like ones I would actually wear, and at $25 it wasn't putting me out too too much.

AND I FELL IN LOVE!

This puppy almost had me giving away my caboodle. Yes, my caboodle. (Which is the banner above, by the way.) The only items I need in addition to this is foundation, concealer, and mascara. Taaaa-daaa!!

Ok now some pics~



Cue the trumpets!! Aaaahhh!! =)
30 eyeshadows, 10 lipglosses, 4 blushes, a translucent powder, highlighter powder, bronzer, lipliner, eyeliner AND mascara!! (and applicators)



Here are the lipglosses--- see how some of them really do have a lot of color? Yaaay!!






























And here are the eyeshadows--- lots of them, no? I tried to keep them in order, by the way, for comparison.*
























Here is the Mascara--- a little bit "Maybelline Great Lash" but eh it'll work in a pickle!





















The lip liner is a nice red and the the eyeliner is a kohl black.

I couldn't even pick a picture of me wearing this because I literally use it just about every day!

If you can still find this anywhere, I HIGHLY recommend getting one! My plan was to wait til they went on sale and get a couple more, but apparantly they were very popular!
