Lasix was postponed to July because of the laser machine being moody....
Guess I will resume this project in a month or so!
Now, on to finding the perfect product to get rid of those pesky blackheads on the end of my nose.

Project, Day 2
Hellooo!
Let me tell you some highlights from yesterday and my no eye make-up parade~
- First of all, I walk in to work and my other female co-worker (who, by the way, is wearing the most GORGEOUS green eyeshadow/purple eyeliner combo.. jealous) tells me, "Oh I looove your make-up!! So natural!" Hey! =) Talk about going from self-conscious to awesome in about half a second. I love her.
- Throughout the day, I still acted like I had make-up on-- which, in a sense, I still did. For instance, when my eye had an itch, I would still be all delicate as to not mess up my "mascara." After a few times of doing this and then feeling silly since it wasn't necessary, I tried a good ol' fashioned eye rub. Believe it or not, that felt SO WEIRD to do during the day instead of at night after I had washed my face. WEIRD.
- Not a SINGLE person made a comment about me "looking sleepy." This was really what I had expected, but no! I guess the glasses proved to be an excellent deterrent, muah ha!
- However, I still desperately wanted to put on some mascara. It sounds silly, but I actually really enjoy "putting on my face" in the morning... it's almost somewhat meditative. And! What the heck, I kept seeing all these amazing mascara ads and sales yesterday-- Really?! Mean.
All-in-all, this whole experience is turning out to be very nice! I think when I'm home this weekend I won't wear ANYTHING at all and see how I feel... whoa, I know.
Side note: I read one story about a girl who went a month without make-up (!) and she said when she put it on once again, that she noticed the smell over evvvvery product... I mean it makes sense, but how interesting!
I'll keep you posted on the surgery! =)

New series~
Hello!
So, having a job and this on the side has proven tiring... thus the long hiatus.
However! I have an interesting couple of weeks ahead of me that I want to share--
I am getting Lasix THIS THURSDAY!!!!!! But to prepare for this, I cannot wear ANY eye make-up this week, and NO MAKE-UP .... AT ALL starting this Wednesday through the entirety of next week!
AHHHHH
Let me tell you--- I'm the type who, if I have to run out the door, I will (quickly) put on some under-eye concealer and a swipe of mascara. Just imagine how crazy I must feel to go to WORK (which is Customer Service... dealing with people.. oh geez) without ANY make-up on! It's not so much an insecure thing, though I do look like I'm so tired I'm basically already asleep without any eye make-up on, but I love getting up and getting ready, and I truly believe it's a sign of respect for the customers if I obviously put in the effort to get ready for the day!
So- my way to compensate for these two days that I can wear face make-up is to make sure my skin looks absolutely flawless.. hopefully that will distract from my lack of lush, mascara-laden lashes... because they are basically not even there without some product.. if this had sound you'd hear me squeak out a small whimper..
My arsenal today includes: L'Oreal TrueMatch super-blendable compact make-up, Maybelline SuperStay concealer (I don't want it going ANYwhere), Maybelline Define-A-Brow, Neutrogena Healthy Skin Bronzer, MAC Strobe liquid to highlight, and Clinique cream blush. Oh! and my trusty eyelash curler~ we'll see how long they even stay curled ;). I'm just glad to have my glasses to kind of define my eyes!

I'm actually glad this happened--- I've read blogs/journals about girls going without make-up for a week/month, and I always thought it would be interesting! And now, I am forced into it, haha. I even bought a pair of faux glasses for -after- the surgery so I can still have my little security blanket!
I'm going to document this, though... I'm actually really excited for this project! =)
More to come~

Review: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Mender
Hello Sunshine!
The other day I was perusing the hair aisle at Target and found a new Neutrogena product: Triple Moisture Split End Treatment. Aaaaand since I've been desperately needing a trim, it was a SCORE!
The product runs at $6.99~ and probably will have some sort of special at Walgreen's soon.
WHAT IT CLAIMS:
Treats dry split ends and protects from future damage.
Transforms split ends and infuses hair with shine and silkiness.
HOW IT WORKS:
This is a Lightweight balm with patent-pending technology that penetrates porous hair ends and seals with a durable ionic bond, bringing the split ends together to repair the damage and prevent future split ends from forming.
Intrigued?? =)
It's not a huge bottle... I mean, still a better price than BioSilk, but if you used this puppy daily I don't see it lasting for very long.

I don't know why I expected it to have a creamy consistency, but it was more like a gel. Makes sense, if it's supposed to be essentially gluing your split ends together. It is really sticky though, and afterwards I had to wash my hands hardcore to get them un-sticky.

I tried this out this morning-- I used it on only one side of my head:
Without product, before straightening:

(Apologies for the color discrepancy, but I think it gets the point across.)
With product, before straightening:

Not too shabby!
With product, after straightening:

I likey!
However, throughout the day it seemed like my fine hair tangled easier =\ but it did help with the split end-- the little dry spots I saw on the un-product-ed side were cut in half on the product-ed side. Yes!
SO, all-in-all, not quite a substitute for a healthy trim, but it does help hide your split ends! As far as preventing them, I'm not quite sure, but using any product to act as a buffer between your hair and your flar iron will help in reducing the amount of split ends.
What do you think? Impressed? No? Interesting in purchasing this? If you live near, let me know and I'll let you borrow it~
Until next time~

Review: CoverGirl LashBlast FUSION
Hello world!
Okay-- so as you read in a previous post, I was super excited about this product coming out!!
Here is the claim as per the back of the package:
"Use LashBlast Fusion to get a blast of volume PLUS incredible length! It's the perfect fusion of lashblast's super-volumizing brush and a buildable fiber-stretch lengthening formula that work together for dense, long-looking lashes!"
Sounds ah-mazing, no?
Let's take a look at some pictures (Note: I did not use a lash curler with either)~
I felt this review needed TWO eyes, so here is my before:

And here with LashBlast Fusion:

Here's a tip-- click on the pics and it'll show you the FULL size~
SO! Not too bad, huh? Personally, I'm not a huge fan of it... it's at a decent price to try if you're a fan of the original LashBlast's, but the downfall for me is the plastic brush. I tried to be a fan of the molded bristles but I have personally found that a more flexible brush produces better results. Notice on the eye on the left that it almost looks like I have some eyeliner on... nope! That's just where the brush hit my lid, haha.
The formula is nice-- not too thick/thin, but the brush doesn't let it live up to it's potential! Also, the fibery-formula can go from length to spindly in a heartbeat, which I did not enjoy. Then! Later in the day I saw flakes under my eyes from the mascara. Ok, I haven't seen flakes in a LONG time, so it really threw me off.
Hey, let's have some fun, shall we?
I decided it would be interesting to put on LashBlast Length and then LashBlast original to see how they compare. Muah ha!

Now, this IS with other make-up. Scroll above and compare~ I think it is comparable, but using the two makes my lashes look lusher, which I'll always take! Note: At work, a (female) co-worker even noticed how different my lashes looked than normal-- "They look so long!" Yesss... always a good thing. =)
What do you think? Will you try this? Are you a fan of any of the LashBlast's? Leave me some feedback!!
Until next time~
